Confession time.
“I would lick frosting off the floor right now” is a real sentence that I have both said and meant.
I’ve always had a sweet tooth, so sugar cravings are nothing out of the ordinary for me. However, there’s one specific kind of sugar craving so intense I can only describe it with the above quotation.
My sister is actually the one who coined it, but the first time she said it, I knew exactly what she meant. (Whether I wanted to admit it or not.)
I would, however, like to add the disclaimer that I have never actually licked frosting off the floor.
Anyway, whether or not you’ve experienced sugar cravings of floor-licking capacity, we’ve all had times where nothing seems as satisfying as a big bowl of fluffy vanilla frosting.
This 3-ingredient vanilla frosting is a quick, easy, and (relatively) healthy way to get your frosting fix. With just three simple ingredients and no sugar, this recipe will get you fluffy, sweet vanilla frosting the clean way.
Whether you’re a sensible human being just trying to frost some cupcakes or an almost-floor-licking maniac trying to tame your sweet tooth, this simple recipe will get you thick, fluffy frosting you can feel good about.
So, what are the 3 ingredients in this 3-ingredient vanilla frosting? Just reduced fat cream cheese, pure vanilla, and raw honey. For this recipe, I recommend my favorite, Honest Raw Honey.
Now, you may be skeptical of frosting with no sugar, but I promise, this clean, 3-ingredient vanilla frosting is just as rich, creamy, and sweet as anything you can buy in a can. And, bonus, it’s not full of questionable preservatives that will make it last longer than your last relationship.
With just these three clean ingredients, you can whip up a batch of frosting you won’t regret later. Cream cheese gives this frosting its thick and creamy texture, while also adding some rich flavor. Raw honey adds a touch of natural sweetness, which is all you’ll really need, I promise. If you’re looking for a sweeter frosting, however, just add extra honey. Add by the teaspoon until you reach the desired sweetness. Finally, natural vanilla adds, you guessed it, that classic vanilla flavor you just can’t beat.
Homemade frosting is always far superior to store-bought. But sometimes it can be a hassle to make, and impossible to get the right texture. In the past, I’ve spent actual hours on end trying to get frosting to whip into the right consistency. This 3-ingredient vanilla frosting is by far the easiest recipe I’ve ever tried.
To make it, simply add all three ingredients to the mixer and beat until fluffy, usually around three to five minutes. That’s it! Just three ingredients and one step to creamy, fluffy, guilt-free vanilla frosting.
Use it for cakes, cupcakes, and all of your other frosting needs. Yes, that includes licking it off the spoon/beaters. Just maybe don’t lick it off the floor.
Then again, who am I to judge?
